The porpoise is the world’s smallest species of whale. One of the most concentrated populations inhabits the Little Belt Straits. When the sea is calm, you sense a buzz of anticipation. Our passengers hope to spot these charming animals close to the harbour. If not, we sail in the straits at a leisurely rate of knots and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings as we keep a sharp eye on the water.
We plan our tours in accordance with Naturpark Lillebælt’s code of conduct. Our foremost task is to protect the porpoise and avoid disturbing the animals as we watch them. We are almost 100 % certain to catch a glimpse of the porpoise and we may also be lucky enough to spot seals in the area.
